simoncells offer: yes or no

Aug 12, 2005 12:15PM PDT

I went to China and i met someone there who had a Nokia 3230 and became interested in getting one. As far as I'm concerned it's only offerred in Asia and is not on the U.S. market. I was browsing one day and was on simoncells.com and found the Nokia 3230 on their site. They say it's in low stock. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that means they have it, just not a lot of them. I also read a forum thread here on cnet about people having trouble with simoncells. They seemed to have the most trouble with refunds and one mentioned that simoncells said they had a product in stock when they didn't. This makes me wonder if they do have this phone in stock although they say they get some products months before they appear on the market. Another thing I noticed was that all the other Nokia phones listed on their site have ''unlocked'' in their basic description except the 3230. Does this mean that the 3230 is locked and if so how can i unlock it? This seems like a good deal up front. I want to know how other people felt about it. Any random intuition. Does anyone know if the Nokia 3230 will be on the U.S. market within the next few months? Anyone's help is greatly appreciated.
