Sign-in problems

Jul 19, 2005 9:52PM PDT

I have a problem with one of my computers. I use Netscape as my default browser and up until recently, didn't have any problems. Now I can't sign-in to a forum using my Dell desktop(8300, 1.5 GB RAM, 120 GB hard drive)using Netscape. I am able to sign-in using Netscape with my other two computes using the same user name and password. I can sign-in using the Dell if I use Internet Explorer. I've deleted cookies, TIF, cache with both browsers.

I've also run all the recommended spyware and virus scans, I've disabled pop-up blockers, checked my security settings and I still can't sign-in. What really baffles me is, none of the settings are different between the computer that won't sign-in and the ones that will. Any suggestions?

Have you tried running other browsers like Mozilla or
Opera for example?? here's a link that might help you with the problem you're having http://www.fjsmjs.com/IE/redx.htm

I want to know what is wrong. There is something blocking my signing in and I can't figure it out. So, I thought I'd ask here and see if anyone has an answer.

I have had the same problem for months also trying to sign in. Try a post to Lee to see why you have problems. It is not your computer.
With Mozilla recently, Google keeps track of my sign-ins with CNET and connects me instantly. Really not sure how that works. Yet it does. Nice!
