Hi, MK.

Ridiculous nitpicking by the judge -- clearly will be overturned on appeal.

No brainer x2

The judge is a no brainer.

The fact that the ruling will be overturned is a no brainer.

You'll missed the good part!

.
I'm on Price's side, he was definitely libeled and slandered, and deserves restitution. In order to do that he has to know who told the lie about him. Look at this:

"Price denied the magazine's report that he had sex with two women at a hotel after leaving the bar."

I'm sure he is telling the truth. After a night of "heavy drinking" it would be a miracle if he could have sex with one woman let alone TWO!

Don't you mean he missed the good part?

Maybe he should just cut his losses and move on.

Seems to me the court should have addressed the firing
Dec 9, 2003 6:58AM PST

not the article.

If the school couldn't prove he did what accused of, would the firing be valid? no matter what some magazine accused him of doing.

I'd have to agree that the idea that Time magazine and it's reporters wouldn't have the same protection as The National Enquirer is so out there it'd be hysterically funny if not so damaging.

he acknowledged drinking heavily and visiting the strip club the night before a golf outing

It seems Price isn't complaining about the firing, he's complaining about being accused of having sex with two women after a night of heavy drinking. That's what he wants to sue about.

And millions of guys would love nothing more than to have sex with two women -- and have the world know about it!

Why doesn't he sue the magazine for libel?
Dec 9, 2003 11:25PM PST

Wouldn't it have to prove the allegations are true?

As the plaintiff, I'd think the burden would be on him to prove the allegations false.

Any journalist with integrity would be willing to risk losing such a lawsuit rather than reveal a source.
