Question

Shutdown /p

Mar 6, 2017 2:19AM PST

Hi all, Just a few days ago, I used my friend's laptop, and when he went away, I thought it would be funny to make a new shortcut and put the destination of the shortcut to Shutdown -p(full shutdown and restart). I knew what the command did, and it was meant as a harmless prank, but when he opened the shortcut, it shut down, and it didn't re-open, the screen was black, and you could see the cursor moving around, but you couldn't do anything. The computer was revived a couple weeks later, but do any of you know what could have happened?
