shut down error on XP Pro

by kskansda / March 19, 2007 3:15 AM PDT

Each time I shut down my PC, I get a error box headed "PNXSERVER.EXE" telling about a certain memory address being unavailable. The system halts for about ten seconds and then shuts down after a beep. What is this ? I have changed my RAM twice over and there is no change. Can anybody help ?

Yes. It is installed as a part of Adobe Premier Pro. Is that what is causing the error ? Is there any way I can correct it without effecting the workibng of the software ?

Advice through Google

Check that your error message is correct. Is it PNXSERVER.EXE, or PNXSERVR.EXE?

If it is PNXSERVR.EXE, then this site found on Google offers advice;

"pnxservr.exe (and pnxkernl.exe) is started by Canopus ProCoder. These two processes enable ProCoder to run queued batch conversions. To disable open "Job Queue Manager" and uncheck "Start Kernel with Windows" under 'Tools'."

As it is a utility of ProCoder for running queued batch conversions, most likely you can disable it if you do not run batches.

I hope that helps.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
