Any way for me to pretend to be a Yank so I can pay for TV shows?

I learned in college about the layers thing you talked about. The secret
is the number of sides plus one. It's the number of sides plus one. I
have a seven-layer cake in front of me.

Sam from Minnesota
I noticed an iTunes phone driver in my receipts.

Andy in Colorado
The last Nintendo system I owned was Super Nintendo. I was hooked on
the Wii until yesterday. Dropping $250 is not a trivial thing for me.
That Wii sports are not worth the extra money. They took the amount
that people would pay and jacked up the price. Sorry Nintendo, you just
priced your target market right out of the market.

*I* own a segway

I own a Segway. Three of them. Well, my company does. This recall is
a serious safety concern for us at our construction sites where we use
these. I had always assumed that when I fell off trying to jump off or
over things it was my fault, but now I know it was a software issue.
I'm glad they stood up and accepted responsibility.

Turn an Xbox 360 into a laptop

I didn't know if you guys heard about the Xbox 360 rebuild? My friend
Ben Heckendorn took an Xbox 360 and chopped it up and put it in a custom-
built laptop. And to top it all off, he threw in a high-definition
screen and liquid cooling. You can check it out at

It's very impressive.

Sequels are so tricky

A classic is back. I hope it doesn't stink. Best computer movie by far,
and love the podcast.

Your bank may block allofmp3

I just returned from a business trip and my wife asked me "What is
AllofMP3?" After explaining who they are and how they are trying to get
away with what they do, she said, "Well, that makes sense...." Drilling
down into her comment, it turns out for some banks it maybe a standard
process to put a hold on transactions to and marking them
as fraud. The bank is then supposed to notify the customer and request
verbal or written approval on the transaction to complete it.

Hopefully this helps explain the problem one of your listeners was
having with receiving credits for the service. If he really wants to
add credit, he needs to call his bank's fraud or general support line.
I don't know who pushed down this process to banks or how widespread it
is, but it was interesting to hear this from my wife.

XM did it Sirius!

Just so you all know, we had our Alpine XM Stereo taken from my wife's
car, and XM does block the radio ID for future use, though they don't
notify the police if someone tries to activate it.

Hindenburg explosion not caused by hydrogen

Hey, guys. You mentioned the Hindenburg disaster and mentioned the
popular belief that the hydrogen content was to blame. Actually, a large
study was done on the incident based on the way the Hindenburg burned,
and it was theorized that it wasn't the hydrogen, but the coating on the
outside skin that was to blame.

Just a little fun FYI.
