...a new folder with a file named: "msxml4-KB927978-enu.log" or maybe "msxml6-KB927977-enu-x86.log"inside? If that's the case, then the folder and file are the logs for the recent Windows Update for MSXL4 or 6... They can be deleted safely although they only take a little space and aren't actually doing anything after the installation of the update finishes.
As to the "HP Web Helper", if you don't want it, I believe it can be uninstalled in the Control Panel/Add-Remove Programs.
Hope this helps.
ok, i recently visited "my computer" on my computer and then went into my disk drive and i noticed an oddly titled folder with a bunch of letters and it is a log of some sort of a downlaod and foler transitions and im wondering if it is safe to remove. there is another folder just below that that is labeled "hp web helper" and it is a decent sized folder that i think is continuing to grow and it records every site i visit on the internet
and im wondering if that is safe to remove?
dont want to mess up any folders that might help the computer
but i dont think those 2 do anything but take up space, i have heard of another log on all computers and it can be shut off somehow but i for get the name of the certain program and log. i heard it just slows your computer down. so if anyone has any suggestion on what to do about these folders or logs let me know and if u might know of any logs or things that arent needed.
