Intesting thought but would first have to ask

where the CO2 comes from that's injected into soda. Is it simply extracted from natural sources or produced artificially by chemical means? If it's a "catch and release" process, it probably does not add to the overall CO2 in the atmosphere. If it requires the energy of fossil fuels to harvest the CO2 it just might so so but as a secondary effect. Brewing of alcoholic beverages also produces CO2. But that CO2 is just a natural recycling process that's been accelerated to produce a beverage. Try and get legislators to drink flat beer and champaign.

wacks, it makes no difference what the source would be for "greenhouse" gases. They have already been shown the sources of such gases and don't care that most are produced by other than human activity.

Least of cola worries.

I'd be more worried about personal consumption of Coke and it's phosphoric acid levels and it's effect on calcium levels within one's body. One of the main reasons I moved over to A&W root beer with the more natural food quality of maelic acid instead. Taking calcium blockers for a heart condition? Suffer hypercalcimia? Why not just drink a few cokes a day instead, it will strip out that calcium probably more effectively.

organic anyone? I do admit I enjoy a cold, flat 'pepsi one' now and then. no hfcs, no belch plus pure unnatural 'splenda'. smooth.

I also enjoy the digestive pleasure of seltzer water and for the 'grow your own' crowd:
