Should I take Norton Antivirus off of Computer?

Sad Should I delete Norton Antivirus before I download another Anti-Virus?

But you should uninstall it after you have downloaded the other anti-virus but before installing the other anti-virus.

These are the steps I would use;

1] Create a System Restore point. Useful if anything goes wrong.

2] Download the setup file for your new anti-virus. Save it to disk, DO NOT RUN IT direct from the download. I always use my Desktop as a temporary storage area.

3] Uninstall Norton's Anti-Virus from the Control Panel. I assume you are using Windows.

4] Reboot, (restart), the computer. This updates the registry and system files.

5] Install the new anti-virus. Run it and update its definitions immediately. Let it run a full scan.
