just a guess

i am just taking a guess since this tv started shipping in April 2006. Could it be hdmi 1.3?

Short answer - NO

In reply to: just a guess

Nothing made in April 2006 had HDMI 1.3. I believe it was June 2006 that HDMI announced 1.3 as a new standard. Also check for the HDMI version to make sure. My 2006 product from major maker is HDMI 1.1. Don't take anything for granted. I believe the 1st announced HDMI commercial product offering was made about Dec 1, 2006.

stop worrying so much about the stupid numbers.

In reply to: how to check

IT. DOES. NOT. MATTER.

VERY VERY VERY VERY few tv's out right now have hdmi 1.3(i know of 0. and to those who say the sony sxrd or bravia xbr's....YOU'RE WRONG.).

1.2 is fully capable to transfer a 1080p signal. stop worrying about the numbers and go actually enjoy your tv.

1.3. is like saying my car goes 300m.p.h but the next model will do 301 m.p.h. You can throw all the numbers you want but fact standard h.d.m.i. gives a outstanding picture and I dont see anything in the future looking better than that my opinion only steweee
