You've probably already fixed this problem but for anyone else that stumbles upon this post, jump starting your car is fine but I wouldn't want to risk my car dying far from home, late at night when no garages are open. If you're really on the fence (and know how to replace a battery yourself), just go buy a new battery and keep it in the car as a back-up. Otherwise, just consider that battery you've got a dud and go get a new one. Even on the high end it shouldn't cost you more than $150 for the battery + installation.

Replace or try power batt
by AndrewJ6663 / October 5, 2016 2:42 AM PDT

Hi Herry,
Two years back I bought a used Chevrolet Silverado 1500. I had also purchased a new “Duracell Ultra AGM Battery” for it. There were no issued for a few months, but after a while, we had trouble turning on the engine. So I consulted my mechanic and he recommended to buy a power batt. But after using a power batt I noticed that there were some positive changes in my Chevy like the quick start etc.

So, if the battery is not working or making any issues to your car, then I would suggest you to replace it. It’s better you buy a new one or using a lead-acid battery with sulfuric acid electrolyte, then use a power batt with your battery that will increase the performance and battery's life span. Then you won’t have to worry about battery maintenance.

Replace it quick

@Herry Das
I would suggest you get your car battery replaced. It does not matter if your friend's car battery is still working fine, could be any reason.
Since yours is dying you should opt to exchange it with a new one.
Which car do you drive by the way?
I am suggesting it since i experienced the same issue with my car battery which was used for around 2 n half years, that too because i did not use the car much. The person who sold me the battery openly said that the life is not more than 1.5 to 2 years.
