Hello. I purchased a new Toshiba laptop(runs Vista). I see a lot of threads here about remove/deleting unwanted/unused items from computers in order to improve function. I see a few icons on my computer that I know I'll not use(i.e. Vongo,an offer for free photo points, free website offer, etc). Should I remove/delete these or are they harmless since I've not used/activated them nor do I plan to? My first instict was to remove and delete them but after reading some threads here wasn't sure if that was necessary or wise. I've read online that some have tried to delete Vongo only but have had trouble doing so. Some people have even posted that attempting to do so has resulted in problems with their computer's performance.
I'm still relatively new to the computer scene so I'd appreciate any and all advice/help I can get.
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
