Should I get the HC3 or wait for the HV20?

by groovemcfly / February 15, 2007 8:44 AM PST

Hi all,
Should I still go for the HC3 even though its been discontinued? I need it to be able to record decently in lowlight with good sound. Also, which out of the two is smaller in size/weight? If I were to go with the HC3, where would be the most reliable/cheapest place to order from? Thanks all

After 2 weeks of Studying I Choose the HDRHC3
by SleepNumber / February 16, 2007 9:06 PM PST

If you go with the Sony HDRHC3 it's on sale for $919.99 on Circuit City's web-site (when you put the code H3AL5YWANA in at checkout). I was told there wasn't much difference between this model and the new models. Still photo's aren't that great but I didn't buy the camcorder for pictures, I bought it for the video.

Get the HV-20

It has a little better resolution, and it has an AV input which should allow an external mic. I would be leery of Sony's usual attempt to lock you into their proprietary stuff while locking out better equipment from other sources.

The Samsung RF23M8090SG

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
