Question

Should I buy this one word 6 letter domain for 155 bucks?

Nov 9, 2011 7:20AM PST

Thanks for your help. I am new at domaining. But I am sure I want to invest in domains. So don't reply that it is not good industry for investing.I cant find any good six letter domains which are unregistered. But, on godaddy auctions, I found this drabber.com for 155 bucks. Should I buy it? Drabber has meaning and is a dictionary word, there are a few artists who call themselves drabber and it also is a hair care product. I intend to buy and keep it as long term investment as the domain age is less than one year right now. Do you think its a good idea. Thank you for your time.

You should buy a domain if you think you can make more money than it costs. Remember that in order to make money you need traffic. That means either reselling it a profit or building a site there and putting up content. There is no magic bullet. You either sell it to someone who wants it ( $155 + how ever many years of renewal fees) for more than it has cost you or you will create the site, content, etc. and do the work to drive traffic to it.
