Should Al Gore be stripped of Nobel Prize? Trump & Inhofe

Feb 25, 2010 1:18AM PST

I think so. Maybe then they could give posthumously to the woman who helped save all those children from the Nazis, the one who should have received it at the time. Hey, maybe Al Gore could end up with some jail time for fraud? Subversive activities? Nah, that would be too perfect, LOL.

SEN. JAMES INHOFE R-OKLA.: Well, we have not heard anything from Al Gore, Neil. And I don?t anticipate that we will, but we would like to have him come, hold a hearing in Environment and Public Works.
Every assertion that he made in his science fiction movie has now been disproven, sea level rising, Himalayas melting and all this stuff. The significant thing right now, though, is the hearing that we had this morning, because we have the minority report that we put together which shows that climate-gate, fixing the science, cooking the science, actually took place.
We have it all documented. And people are being investigated right now. The inspector general for the EPA, for NASA, for NOAA, for all these different groups to do their own investigation. Then we send that to the Justice Department. That?s happening, by the way, in the U.K... found that violations... is a criminal offense. Unfortunately, in Great Britain, the statute of limitations has already run. Well, that could be the case here, in which case it would be a criminal violation.

Donald Trump wants the Nobel Committee to strip former Vice President Al Gore of his Nobel Peace Prize.

The New York Post reports that the billionaire told a country club crowd of 500,:
"With the coldest winter ever recorded, with snow setting record levels up and down the coast, the Nobel committee should take the Nobel Prize back from Al Gore."..."Gore wants us to clean up our factories... when China and other countries couldn't care less... China, Japan and India are laughing at America's stupidity."

Donald Trump is not a big believer in global warming. "With the coldest winter ever recorded, with snow setting record levels up and down the coast, the Nobel committee should take the Nobel Prize back from Al Gore," the tycoon told members of his Trump National Golf Club in Westchester in a recent speech. "Gore wants us to clean up our factories and plants in order to protect us from global warming, when China and other countries couldn't care less. It would make us totally noncompetitive in the manufacturing world, and China, Japan and India are laughing at America's stupidity." The crowd of 500 stood up and cheered.

Once I figured up how much corn it would take to heat average 1500-2000 sq ft home during a typical central US area winter. Came to about 3 acres give or take a half. Add to that the amount needed to create feed for keeping some chickens, which also free range or due to too many hawks, adjusted range in moveable protected covers. Anyway, with full family moderate labor, about 10 acres is all a family needs to self subsist if the land and house is already paid for. There may be some place with figures which give a more accurate assessment on minimalist living, or maybe observation of Amish would give an idea.

What are we missing here? Maybe it's that facts are fun. Lies are generally in an "I win, you lose" vein. How fearful do you have to be that we don't really have the mojo to compete? To so totally load it up with bull-pucky and insist on our own definition of reality? Repetition IS reality, don't 'cha know?

What a bunch of cowards. What is this? A game? Are we going to have to insist on a legal ruling on what the truth is in every instance? We have a problem. IMO

I am tired of lies. I don't care who it is that thinks lies are better for me than the truth, I am tired tired tired of lies. Blatant. Deliberate. Supply your own adjective --- lies. There's something very very wrong here. Opinions are not facts. So just shut up and eat your c(f)ake? Are we so weak? I don't think so. I could be wrong. One thing for sure, if we give the Starve The Beasters their way much longer, we will be. We stand up now and try to undo the damage. Or we sic our military on the rest of the world, lie, and hope for the best. Our little fantasy isn't deserving to fly much longer. Just ask our owners, the Chinese.

Pelosi is the mother of filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi, director of the documentaries Journeys With George (2002, with George W. Bush)

Alexandra Pelosi:You just want me to vote for you for your own ego. What are you going to do for me if I vote for you?
George W. Bush: I'm going to give you a little kiss on the cheek.
Alexandra Pelosi: A kiss?

....... has been the same throughout.. He did shorten the original "EdHannigan" to the present "EdH" however.

He was not here during the era when controversial topics could be discussed civilly, and with respect.

The character changed sudden with the entrance of some members.

You asked if I was proud. Yes, I am. There are some mighty fine members here who, for me, strongly stand out from those who can't handle opposing opinions. Heck it's the same in real life; they just can be harder to avoid. In SE, a person has the choice to stay away from those he/she expects or knows will be upsetting.

So it has been worth it for me. A few grouches doesn't spoil a community, no matter how hard they try.

Reality-based community -Wiki
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reality-based_community

The aide said that guys like me were "in what we call the reality-based community," which he defined as people who "believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality." ... "That's not the way the world really works anymore," he continued. "We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality?judiciously, as you will?we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors?and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.

"yap yap yap"

If you want to talk, how about your assertion that it's the Dems who rampage into more national debt? That's a mind meme that's easily disproved. Why oh why should I have to disprove the same thing over and over again. The Reps have been trying to "Starve The Beast" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starve_the_beast for the longest time.

If there is one thing we can agree on (and there MUST be one thing), why is it not paying off the national debt?

If you're point is that Dems are easily made to cower and bow, I don't disagree. If you think we're going to give up our guns... ? You could choose to talk. It's not too late.
