short cut for turning subtitles on/off

I have a Magic Remote and an LG OLED 55" smart TV.

It takes 6 clicks to turn subtitles on, then 6 to turn them off. This is ridiculous since a subtitles button was provided on remotes for less-smart TVs ... 2 clicks at most.

Is there a way of programming the Magic Remote with a shortcut to turn subtitles on/off? Or can it be done with a smart phone app? TIA ... Greg
