Question

Shopping for Website-builder and Domain for Church Videos

Feb 19, 2013 4:01PM PST

I'm helping my mom rebuild her church website. We want to include youtube videos of their church services, pictures and capability for her to receive email from website visitors. Sounds pretty simple. I'm a bit overwhelmed from all the available services. Any suggestions for a simple website for the above usage is appreciated Happy

Take a look at either

WordPress (as a service or self-hosted) or Squarespace (as a service). If you want ultimately flexibility, I'd definitely take a look at setting up your own, self-hosted WordPress, which allows you to do all of the above and more.

Concrete5

Since you are using youtube for the videos, I would recommend signing up for budget hosting. You can choose your domain name when you sign up.

Concrete5 is a popular web design software, that is also easy to use. This is a good option for churches, since everyday users can figure it out without having a web design background.

The email accounts would be setup with the hosting company, they should be able to provide instructions on this.

I hope this helps,
