Shoot onto external hard drive w/ Panasonic AG-HVX200

What type of hard drive would I use to shoot films onto. After shooting I plan on putting the files on my mac and editing them in Final Cut Studio 2. Can I use a LaCie ruggen Hard Drive?

to a computer are dumb.

The external hard drive that will work has a bunch of firmware. Check the Firestore FS-100 from Focus Enhancements.
