hello all

I had a Qs more out of interest and curiosity.
A biology student speaking here....just to let u all know that i am ignorant in computers!!!!!!

my uncle bought a new toshiba laptop and the first thing i noticed was the glossy shine on the monitor/display.....mirror like. I have also seen the same glossy shine on many of the sony,hp laptops at bestbuy, etc. I found it to be comfortable for my 'eyes (with thick glasses!).

I was wondering if they put someting on the monitor, can i put it on the mac monitor ...becoz the mac screen doesnt have that glossy shine.

again, this is not a technical qs..was curious to know if the sony,toshiba... people have something inbuilt which makes it more glossy ??

thanks
K

I don't know of any after market device that can be used, doesn't mean one doesn't exist though.
But, the glossy screen is available as a no-cost option for the new 15" and 17" MacbookPro

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
