Calibration notes: While the TV comes with a THX mode the combination of a lack of backlight control in that mode and overly blue grey scale meant I didn't proceed with it during calibration.

The same blue problems occurred when using 10-point color temp control as opposed to just two-point and so I just used two-point.

Updated software/firmware version
Jun 11, 2014 11:42AM PDT

An updated software/firmware version was released today, and I installed it. I am unable to determine what changes Sharp made to the TV. Could this affect your original calibrations?

Does this calibration work for the Sharp LC-80UQ17U?

I have the 80 inch sharp. Do the same calibrations apply for this as well?

Thanks!
