Sharing two different computers with one Monitor

I wanted to know if you can share two computers using one monitor.

I have a data switcher that I am using with two different printers and I was wondering if I could use a data switcher connecting two different computer to one monitor.

I have a new Princeton LCD Monitor. Both computer are using XP-Home but one computer is a P3 and the other is a P4.

I just wondering if I could switch back between the two computers.

Thanks for any advice.

You need a KVM box that allows those devices be shared, keyboard-video-monitor.

There are various makers, just find one that suits your purposes, but be advised to buy a decent one, spend the $$$. A complete kit should contain the box and associated cabling plus ant s/w if so equipped.

Those are used to share Keyboard, video and mouse between various computers so that with one keyboard, mouse and monitor one can use 2-8 computers and is useful in serer rooms for example.
