Any advice anyone can give on this would be extremely appreciated! Here is my problem:
I have a wired/wireless network with two computers - one wired and one wireless. I use the Linksys wireless B router as my only router connected to a cable modem. My wife and I take A LOT of pictures and usually wind up burning at least one or two CDs per week for various friends. We also do not currently have any of our files (important documents, pictures, music, etc.) backed up.
For this reason, I would like to purchase an option that we can not only back up our computers to, but also have the ability to give others access via the internet so they can download pictures directly from us rather than us giving CDs. My current thinking is to buy a NAS with ftp ability, such as the Buffalo Terastation, or a NAS specifically designed for what I want to do such as the Mirra Personal Server. For various reasons, including that I want to backup all of my files, I don't want to just use Snapfish or some other such service.
That is where you come in: Would anyone recommend either of these over the other, or can you recommend some other solution altogether, such as a server, or some such thing?
