U could try these idead out; for example modifying your firewall to allow remote access go to control panel, click on system, click on remote and ect. Or u could have a briefcase (type of folder) that Automatically updates itself. Or u could use softwares such as one offered from gotomypc.com, if u want i could find the software we use at school that updates everything from one computer to another with ease, (i think its Netoups, but i could be wrong).
What's the most straightforward way to share files between 2 PCs. Both running winXP SP2 and have internet connection.
I used a pen drive to share Office files, but it'd be easier to not have to worry which PC or if the pen drive has the most updated file, copying stuff back and forth. Have the file at one place, and then have the 2nd PC make updates to it from a remote location.
My 1st home PC has firewall (Zone Alarm) on Cox cable, my 2nd office PC has its own internet connection (probably Verizon). Can someone describe how to setup so my office PC can just remote access the files on my home PC?
