Question

Shared Composite/Component Input Question

Dec 4, 2012 11:30AM PST

I have several video game consoles that I'd like to hook up to my TV (model PN51D530A3FXZA Samsung) but the problem is three use composite cables and three use component. I was told on another website that if I were to use a switcher with both composite and component inputs (such as the Pelican System Selector Pro) and simply plugged the yellow from the composite cables into the green component jack on the switcher as I would the TV then connected the switcher to the TV with component cables, that I would be able to hook up all my game consoles this way.

Before I spend any money on this, I'd like a second opinion on whether or not that would work. I don't want to buy something that ends up being useless to me. If this won't work, is there some moderately inexpensive way I can have all six of these consoles hooked up to the TV at once?
