Setup Samsung remote to control Kenwood audio system

I just installed a new Samsung QLED TV (QN65Q70RAFXZA). I'm using the optical audio output which connects to a Kenwood VRS-6100 audio subsystem. How do I configure the remote control that comes with the unit to control the audio volume of the Kenwood audio system.

Looks to be pretty old.

No universal remote control for optical connections

The Samsung remote control is only able to control external devices connected with HDMI, it's all about the Samsung Anynet+ feature which is able to control external devices using the One remote control.

Remember the remote that you TV has works with Bluetooth not IR signal, the tv needs to recognize the device connected to it to make it possible to be controlled it

Check if it is possible for you to connect your sound system with a HDMI cable directly to the HDMI ARC to the TV
