Question

Settings Options for the 26LB30QD

Sep 18, 2018 1:21PM PDT

Worked flawlessly for years. The settings option no longer features the "search" feature for viable channels where one can 'tell' the TV to search for channels. The option has disappeared in recent weeks but also returns. Remote is in perfect condition. Link shows what my "setting page" looks like. Guidance sought. Google site link below:

I ran into this on another TV.

I do not have your model and only share because it may help. What was it? The set figured out there was no antenna and dropped the option to scan. A too smart TV.

Issues...
Sep 18, 2018 1:51PM PDT

Have a MOHU antennae but loaned it for a weeks in the interim used a coat hanger... Coat hanger got four channels but now the MOHU is back. Connect for hours yesterday but not recognized. Is is advisable to move the mohu around the room in the hopes of picking up a signal?

Yes.

Just like in decades past we move the antenna around for best performance. Some of the antenna setup guide websites tell you what compass direction to use in your area.

There's even an app that helps for antenna direction. Which I haven't used since my antenna was very very large and helped me get more than the usual number of channels.

Proscan 26LB30QD Clock Issues
Sep 25, 2018 9:24AM PDT

Channel search function restored... Finding that setting the time either manual or automatic never lasts. Manual time set can last for a few hours but not automatic. Additionally, when time is set the EPG option shows a time frame several hours ahead of the current time. Additionally, the EPG panel shows arrows to the right and left suggesting that the time window can be moved. Seeking solutions.
Have updates ever been offered from Proscan?

About the EPG. So much bad news.
Sep 25, 2018 11:03AM PDT

I don't know which company Proscan used for the EPG so there can be really bad news as some folded or discontinued operations. This has really upset some owners that felt this feature was "forever." Or they felt the maker should fix it. It's all in the agreements so lots of bad news and feelings out there.

ALL THAT ASIDE. Your issue sounds like the time zone isn't set right. Be sure the TV firmware is current and ---->>> ALWAYS REPORT FIRMWARE BUGS. If they can't fix it, start a return (RMA) process.
