You would set the digital audio out to bitsream audiophile for the receiver to decode if it is hdmi 1.3 and can decode the HD audio.
Downsampling would be set to on if your receiver can not accept 96khz and it will downsample to 48KHz.
just got my 2550. The fw was old so I updated it via USB without a problem. haven't hooked it to the internet yet, need to get a very long cable to reach my router. I have a question about some of the settings. i have a ln52a750 lcd tv, directv hd box and a onyko 606 to go with the 2550. i have everything going through the 606 using hdmi. with the anynet on it seems to take over everything and the dvd plays automaticly. have to shut the dvd player down to get to the dtv. (they share the same hdmi port on the tv) with anynet off it functions normally and i can just choose the input via the 606.
since i am using the hdmi, i did not bother to hook up the audio out connections. since this is in the bedroom, i'm only running 5.1 speakers.
under audio setup, i was unsure if i should select the pcm or bitstream audiophile for the digital output and didn't know weather to turn the pcm down sampling on or off.
i have the movie frame (24 Fs) set to on.
sharpness and dvd noise reduction are both set to low.
any other suggestions?
