Question

Setting up Asus DSL-N12E as Wifi Repeater

Aug 25, 2016 1:55AM PDT

I'm not a networking specialist, but I bought a Asus DSL-N12E to be used to extend my home wifi. The guy in the shop recommended me the Asus, but now I have tried to find a manual or tutorial on the net to set it up as a repeater, unfortunately can't find any. I'm lost! Can anyone help please?

I'm reading https://www.asus.com/Networking/DSLN12E/ and don't see any feature that can do what you asked. Looks like the wrong gear to me.

I prefer routers as a WAP (see google) and this powerline WiFi setup.

Really? I can see however that on the routers WAN menu there are submenus where you can choose "Bridge 1", "Bridge 2" etc...Is a bridge not the same as a repeater?

And did not see a way to use it. If you feel the shop knows how, let them tell you.
