Setting sounds for WindowsXP

Jul 21, 2007 7:17AM PDT

I'm having a problem with getting WindowsXP to play a certain wav
file.
When I go to "sounds and audio devices" and bring up the "properties"
box then go to "sounds" I try to get "start Windows" to play a wav
file with the opening theme from "Star Trek Next Generation" It loads and plays when I test it with the "play" button, but when I shut down
windows and re-open it, the wav only plays for like 4 notes then
stops...Windows goes on to load up without any problems. When I set
"start Windows" with another wav file, like the them from the
"orignal Star Trek" it works fine...plays all the way. I have played the "STNG" wav file on my Windows media player, and on my iTunes player...no problems playing the whole file...I have even played the "STNG" wav file on a program called "Wave Pad" and again it plays without a problem and doesn't show any visable drops or spaces. Any help on this?
