I think he means UAC.That already existed in Windows 7, byt the way, so it's quite likely you know it.

A few days ago I heard something on the radio. A guy said to stop your pc from getting programs like malware on it a good thing to do is change the option when your pc allows programs to be installed.
Most malware and virus programs are installed behind the scenes where you have no idea they are being installed.What I thought the guy meant was to change it so Windows 8.1 would ask before ANY install program is installed. Like malware. But I can find nothing on this and wondering if I heard the guy wrong.
I have norton antivirus an windows 8.1. So is there an option in windows that will give me an option to install say malware when it tries to install on my pc? Only thing I can think of is the automatic update options.
