setting computer to previous date

I would like to know if I return computer to factory settinmfg will I lose my photos?

Almost always.

And like all our prior PCs we must backup what we can't afford to lose.

For most, a few memory sticks and a copy up on a cloud somewhere will suffice.

Of course you will.

Were the pictures on the hard drive when you purchased it ?
You will lose everything that wasn't original on the computer so back up all your pictures and files and folders that you want to save.
