Ive been having a heck of a time with three different Audio Recorders in getting the Audio level the same as my other Licensed Music. Im doing FM Radio Style Recordings through my only Input Jack (Microphone In.) I set one Audio Recorder level to where it hits the optimum recording LIMIT-LINE, which is quite loud through my headphone sound monitoring. Then when I play it back through Windows Media Player 10, its barely audible with all volume controls on maximum. I checked the Mixer, the Volume Control, and also Audio Properties >Levels, all on maximum volume. If I turn up the mic input level, not only does it run above the optimum threshhold, I also get terrible distortion. Ive minimized the Radio Output into the Mic-In to combat the distortion but its just been an uphill battle no matter what I try. Like I said, Ive encountered this difficulty with several different recorder tools.
1. How can I MATCH the level of my Licensed MP3's, etc., and be CERTAIN it will be the same, so that when I create a Playlist, I wont have to constantly adjust the volume? Any specific tools/techniques for this?
2. How/What Tools, will best address the simillar issue of setting optimum volume and avoid distortion?
