Setconfig application error message

I keep getting a error message everytime my PC starts up that it has to close the Setconfig Application and of course wants to send an error report to Microsoft.

I have a brand new HP Pavillion a530n - AMD 3200+, 512 RAM, and Windows XP. I found one question posted on one of the Microsoft boards in February - but no replies? HP said it had to do with the printer and to reinstall it, which I did, but this did not solve the problem?

Any suggestions?

Send it back for repair, while it is still under warranty

Before you send the machine back, try re-installing the drivers for the printer, in fact, remove all trace of them from the hard drive, reboot and start afresh, THEN think about sending it back under warranty if the problem persists.

Thank you for the suggestions - The HP guy said it had to do with the printer, so I will try that.
