Set Top Box issues with Samsung UHD TV?

May 8, 2015 8:07AM PDT

when I recently upgraded to a Samsung UHD TV, my Dish Network set top box randomly starts turning off and rebooting itself. This irritating thing happens roughly once a day with no noticeable pattern, as far as I could tell. I have replaced with another Set Top Box from Dish, but with no luck.

The online search indicated yoelded only one mention of this problem and suggests using a small cooling fan on the STB. This hasn't helped me.

Any suggestions?

I believe Bob is on the right track. Try another HDMI port and cable. Also, make sure that you have Anynet disabled on the unit as well. This setting should be located under the system portion of the menu.

Try a different HDMI port. One without ARC or such.
