The Set Restore Point function doesn't work anymore. I have Windows ME. When I try to set a restore point I enter a restore point "description, click "next" then a grey box appears with the message: "System Restore not able to create a restore point, please restart the computer and then run Systsem Restore again". I restart my computer and repeat the same steps and the same error message appears, I have tried this more than 50 times with no success. I did a scandisk, I did a defrag, I have more than 25GB of free space. I checked the troubleshooting tab in 'System' and the Disable System Restore is NOT 'on'.
(the check box is clear). This is a brand new problem, I have used the Set Restore Point function many times and never had any problems. I must have broke something. Can anyone help me?? Thanks, Calcanada
