Set audio volume from command line

Apr 19, 2006 2:48AM PDT

Does anyone know how to set the audio volume from the command line? Is this possible?
For example: I would like to set the wave audio volume to 50%, is there a command to do this? Or any other way other than the normal one with the mouse?
thanks

You may want to tell if a PC is involved, what OS and more.

That site you sent looks good, thanks. Nevertheless, I wonder if this is possible without any programs, there should be a command for the volume somewhere...

If so, it would be a rundll command.
