services.msc

i did a dumb thing.i deleted services.msc...what must i do, to get it back....what happen was,when i type in services.msc in the run box,windows would come up and it said cannot open this file.it wanted me to pick from a list to open it and i tried that, but nothing would open it.so i thought i would deleted and download it from microsoft.i made the wrong move on that.so what do i do now, how do i get it back....please help!!!!!!!...i`m running XP

Flugy... I would do a System File Check

You will need the XP disk... go to Run and type in:

"sfc /scannow" (without the quotes and a space after sfc)

Hope this helps. It should replace any missing or corrupt system files.

Oh yeah! You might try a System Restore...

to a time before you made the deletion. May not work but worth trying. If no success, the System File Check should do it.

When you try to delete flies like services.msc, you get a warning whether you really want to delete the file, and that windows may not work... You have no such warnings ?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
