Please Give Us More Information

Is the error message you've posted EXACTLY correct? Is the file name: "service.exe" or "services.exe"? (Note the second one is plural.) Please give us the EXACT error message you're seeing.

Are you using a Dell computer? The "service.exe" file is part of their Dell Solution Center and not a necessary part of the installed programs.. If you don't need it, uninstall it from the Add/Remove Programs section. Or have you done so already?

On the other hand, there are trojans that install a file by the name of "service.exe".. If you haven't already, please download, install, update, then run a full system scan using the free removal tool in the link below:

SUPERAntispyware Removal Tool

Then again, if the file name is "services.exe" (plural), then it could be the legitimate Windows Service could be a virus/trojan as well.. As before, run the SuperAntispyware tool above to find if there is a problem there.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
