Is the error message you've posted EXACTLY correct? Is the file name: "service.exe" or "services.exe"? (Note the second one is plural.) Please give us the EXACT error message you're seeing.
Are you using a Dell computer? The "service.exe" file is part of their Dell Solution Center and not a necessary part of the installed programs.. If you don't need it, uninstall it from the Add/Remove Programs section. Or have you done so already?
On the other hand, there are trojans that install a file by the name of "service.exe".. If you haven't already, please download, install, update, then run a full system scan using the free removal tool in the link below:
SUPERAntispyware Removal Tool
Then again, if the file name is "services.exe" (plural), then it could be the legitimate Windows Service Manager...OR...it could be a virus/trojan as well.. As before, run the SuperAntispyware tool above to find if there is a problem there.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes.
