Question

Server or Cloud Based Software for Templates and Editing

Jun 11, 2015 7:33AM PDT

I am interested in more information about any product (server or cloud based) that can be used by my employer for client communications.
Ideally, this product would allow us to provide three or four templates for client communication that these clients can then edit themselves with personalized content and use for their purposes, without changing our original templates. It would almost act as a database that we could build on if necessary.
If there are products out there like this (ideally cloud based, to save server space), I would love to hear what you know about them!
Thank you!

The trouble with clouds is simple.

You don't own them and can't tell if they are going away. Turkey and other countries can flip the internet off at a moment's notice so if this is cloud based, your business is at risk.

As to server storage, space has never been cheaper so I can't guess if you are in some country where it is still expensive. Here it runs well under 99 bucks a terabyte. And templates are small.

Maybe you are looking for Salesforce.com and all that they do?

I've worked consistently with icsbusinessbox software http://www.icsbusinessbox.net/ and found it to be a really good solution for wide business efficiencies that save time and money. It's especially good for HR applications - there's some good blogs here that give you an idea of the benefits: http://www.icsbusinessbox.net/blog/

So far, only 2 posts on that.

It also doesn't address the cloud problems. That is, I didn't find ICS offering disaster plans for when they fold or offline modes.
