More information.
If I log in as Administrator or Guest, WIndows explorer works fine. It is just when I log in as myself that the problem arises. (Of course, Administrator and Guest do not have access to my files.)
So the problem must be localized to my account.
I don't know if this added info helps.
Thanks,
Vince
I'm not sure how this happened, but when I try to open "My Computer," or any other desktop-based folder that holds favorite programs, I get a "Server Execution Failed" error. I cannot see my files via Windows Explorer. I cannot see them under "My Documents." I cannot see anything in the Recycle Bin.
I can see them from all applications, so I know that they are still on my C: drive.
Searching the Internet for solutions yielded some suggestions, but I can't get them to work. Searching Forums yields plety of supposed hits, but none of them address the Server Execution Failed issue.
