Server error 503

Jan 27, 2010 9:42AM PST

In Windows Live mail, I get Server Error 503, Server Response, 503 STARTTLS command, used when not advertised. Windows Live Mail Server 10:0x800 CCC65. Protocol SMTP. Port 587, when I synchonize.

Most messages come in find. I seem to get the above error more when forwarding or replying to emails vs. creating a new one and sending.

Any ideas for fixes? Thanks.

Bruce

some members had suggested turning off the virus scanning for all messages. i turned off my filtering of outgoing mail in my avast virus program but kept the filtering on for the incoming mail so i didn't lose my protection. that cured the problem.
