It could be either (a) that something went wrong with the installation the path for the thumbnails was incorrect or yes, it could be (b) the fact that they are missing something on their server to make it work correctly.

okay, I have a problem but I hope somebody can help me with. My ISP is dream host and I have three joomla websites hosted on their server. Just recently, I added the Zoom Gallery to a couple of the websites. When I uploaded the photos for the first time, none of the photographs would show in the gallery. After a few days of pondering, somebody told me to disable a function called ?hotlinking? hotlinking enables you to hide the path to the photos. If it is disabled, people can see where the photos are kept. So I disabled it, and all the photos show up in the gallery now. You can also put video files in Zoom Gallery. I uploaded a video and once again, where a purpose made thumbnail should have been for the video, just placeholder appeared. If you clicked on the placeholder you could actually open the video okay. Both the joomla and zoom gallery forums were no help whatsoever. In desperation, I decided to go to another ISP and purchase a little bit of web space plus a new domain. This is with a company called Hostingfest. Once again, I uploaded joomla onto their servers plus some gallery. Everything worked perfectly okay as it should. ALL photos showed up with hotlinking enables and all the thumbnails showed up when I uploaded videos. What I want to know is do you think there is a problem with the server? Everything has been done of the same computer using all the same FTP programs etc etc. The only difference is I am now on a different server. I have contacted dream host but they haven?t really been able to help much. If somebody could possibly come up with some reason why I am having this problem, I would be very grateful. Like I said, there?s joomla and Zoom Gallery support forums have not been able to help. But they probably won?t be able to because I don?t think there is a problem with the actual software, I think there is a problem with the server compatibility, or something like that
Here is a link to one of the genre sites hosted on dream host
