SERIOUS HELP NEEDED ON 2008 Chevy Silverado

Jan 30, 2009 11:42PM PST

Hello, just to start off I own a 2008 chevy silverado, single cab without the bose system. It has onstar and just the basic speaker system. I recently went to my local audio store to get a kicker system installed in it. The plans were to have a 5 channel amp that ran all 4 door speakers and 2 subs. After installation of the amp we put the car back together and when we put in the key our ears almost started bleeding. The door chime from the car was amplified and it was very loud. The installer seemed stumped, and come to find out he was. I have since went to two other audio shops who come to the same conclusion they do not know what to do but replace the factory radio unit. I am trying to keep this truck looking as stock as possible, and want to keep the factory radio unit. So as of know I have a kicker zx400.1 amp running 2 kicker subs. I still want to replace the 4 door speakers and amp them up to match the subs. I am open for any help as long as the stock radio stays in. Please give me any information you may have that can help me or any ideas of ways to boost up the sound of the radio even if it is not with an amp. Thanks
