Serif Photoplus 7

I dont really know why I installed this but I did.

The damn program has converted all my jpg files to Serif Photoplus pictures.

I am sure I did not authorise that.

How can I convert everything back to jpg? There are hundreds of files.

And Serif now seems to be the default for all pictures.

Clarification Request
Sounds more like Associations to me.

When you association files with an application it's proper for this to happen.

Here's the old JPG association from Doug Knox. Should be fine for XP, Vista and 7. (use the one for JPG)

What program do you want to open them when you double click? O get the impression it isn't Serif Photoplus.

No definitely not Photoplus! Microsoft photo editor, Windows picture and fax viewer etc.

What I dont want is all my albums being Serif Photoplus files. I want them to be jpg, so I can do with them what I want.

Re: Serif

In reply to: Thanks

Two things you can do:
1. Run the program you want to use and use it's File>Open command to open those files.
2. Change the file association back to what you want. Some installs change it without asking, other installs ask and maybe you inadvertenty answered yes.

Details on how to do it vary by OS, so I can't tell you. For Windows 7 see For another version of Windows, if you can't find it in the built-in Help and Support, maybe you can google it yourself?
