Question

Series 7 can read .mp4 from USB, but not from PC

Nov 20, 2012 8:54AM PST

Anyone have any idea why my TV can read the exact same .mp4 from a USB stick, but it cannot read it from my PC?

Other files work fine.

DLNA? If so, you just figured it out why it didn't work.

What works on USB does not mean it works on DLNA.

I'm only chaning the source

I'm only changing the input source from the USB to a PC hard disk. The file is still the same, but the device is different. Should that matter?

You proved it does.

Sorry but this issue is a subject that has come up before. If you recall (you may not know?) the patent battles you find that play directly is one thing, and over a network is another. There's a lot to this area and folk continue to ask. I hope you call it in but thought you may want to know it's an issue/problem.
