I think this device only has an analogue tuner - no digital. You could connect via SCART to the TV and record from the TV tuner, but that's not ideal. A separate decoder would be better, or upgrade to a recorder with digital tuner.
You need to loop through the RF connection from recorder to TV - cable - recorder - TV, with 2 coax leads. Then the TV will see the signal.
I have the following issue, I have a Samsung LE40B 650T2 PXXN TV with CI+ module & a samsung digital home cinema system HT-C450 and a HDD & DVD recorder DVD-HR777.
I want to record some TV program's but when i hook everything up (cable - TV - hdmi connector to HDD) my HDD recorder doesn't find any channels.
when i hook it up another way (cable - HDD recorder - hdmi connector to TV) the HDD recorder finds all the analog channels but no digital channel + the TV gives a remark on-screen that the signal is too weak.
I'm afraid that i have to buy a separate decoder to place in front of the HDD recorder to get the digital tv channel but i don't know if this will solve the "weak signal" remark on-screen.
does anybody have a solution for me? Thanks
