Resolved Question

Sennheiser headphones into Samsung FHD 60 Inch 3D LED TV?

Jan 17, 2015 11:03AM PST

Hi,

I have purchased a Sennheiser wireless head phones RS 110 II and am trying to connect it to my Samsung TV model UA60H6400AW. I have tried connecting the 2 cables supplied with the phones (one red and one black) into both the Audio points on the back of the TV (coloured red and white) no luck. I also tried using a connector that came with the headphones which converts the red and black cables into a single connection that fits into the Audio out port at the back of the TV. I have switched the TV sound output to 'audio out' but still cannot get them to work....can you provide any hints.
Thanks

Clarification Request
The manual showed no RED WHITE "output"

Those look like inputs to the TV. I do see the "Audio Out Connection" noted in the manual. Why not try that?

"audio out" port...

should have worked. You hear any noise at all? Couple things to check; make sure the unit is on, the volume is high enough, and least of all...you have to tune in the station (like a radio) because it's an RF wireless earphone.

Yes checked volume and unit switched on...no noise at all and tried to fiddle with tuning but still nothing?

Your next step would be to isolate where...

the problem is. Is it the wireless phone unit or is it the TV out. If you a wired earphone, use that to check out the TV audio out connection and if that's good then you know what to do. Good luck.

As long as you connect to RED WHITE JACKS on TV.

You won't hear a thing. Those are not outputs.

If I am not mistaken,
