Fact is I have to admit first up that I don't send video clips via e-mail but I am aware of the size restriction which I thought was actually less than 16mgb ... but with the greater use of broadband maybe that limit has increased.
I suppose first of all it depends on how big the file is you're trying to send because you don't say. Normally I would suggest using WinZip or WinRAR to compress the file to a more manageable size but even those applications have their limits so if they're still over the limit maybe you should cut the clips into smaller sizes then Zip file them you would achieve what you want. You can get video editing apps that will cut and join clips, just run a search on download.com. May mean having to send more e-mails and of course the people on the receiving end also have to be able to unzip the files so they too need to get WinZip, WinRAR or similar.
I am using Windows xp and use aol and roadrunner. My question is, I have been trying to send home made video clips from my hard drive unsuccesfully to my family via e-mail. The video files are in avi. I tried sending them through both outlook and aol and both come up with errors telling me that I cant send files bigger than 16mb. Anyone have any suggestions on how I can send these files? Thanks.
