Question

Sending information via Bluetooth on Windows 10...

by rcrosby57 / November 7, 2017 6:59 AM PST

I do not have any troubles sending a document from my computer to a device, but for some reason, I am unable to send a document from device to my computer. When I try to send something to the computer, nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

You need to set your computer to accept files via Bluetooth. Right-click on the Bluetooth icon and you will see the settings

Are you referring to the computer? When I go to settings for the Bluetooth, I see that the LG K10 is paired with the computer. Again, I don't have problems sending something to the LG K10 phone from the computer.

Yes, but you should allow other devices to send files to your computer. I mean that you can easily send a file from computer, but when you are sending something to computer, you need to allow this

I had to go to Receive and send files via Bluetooth in Related settings. I clicked on Receive files, resend a picture and was successful sending the picture to the computer from my phone.

My phone is paired with the computer. It's possible it has to do something with the phone since I can send info from my computer to the phone with no problems, but I can't do the same from the phone to the computer. It is so frustrating...

I had to go to Send or receive files via Bluetooth in Related Settings. I clicked on receive files in the dialogue box. I resend a picture and this time it went through. It was an error on part.

Just like when receiving something from the computer, the phone will pick it automatically, I thought it would do the same with the computer. That is when I realized I had to open the dialogue box and click Receive files before sending a picture from the phone.
