Send to Bluetooth

Apr 25, 2005 11:01PM PDT

I am using Outlook 2003 (OS XP SP2 fully patched) and until a few weeks ago I was able to transfer to my Pocket Pc Contacts/Tasks via Bluetooth. All of a sudden now when I hover the mouse pointer over the little arrow of "Send to Bluetooth" command which is not greyed out, I get no further option commands like in other Office applications such as Word/Excel etc.

Does anybody have a slightest idea of what might the cause be ?

Thanks.

I let ActiveSync do this sync.

Thank you Bob.

I have no other choice. What an honor to get a response from a technophile like you. I guess your name is the most seen in CNET Forums.

Regards.

Thanks. But I might be able to dig a little more.

But let me admit I'm still a bluetooth newbie. While I've been in and around too many wireless solutions, all I found with BT (bluetooth) is stories of mixed success.

-> I have these toys to work with:

- R3000 laptop with BT.
- rx3115 iPaq with BT, Wifi and the 2003 version of that OS.

What can I do to duplicate your issue?

Could it be that the BT pairing was "lost?"

I wouldn't be surprised if one day I'll stumble into a post dishing out a tip on Adobe Photoshop signed by you. However I believe that a good part of user's problems
is due to "Problem In Chair Not In Computer".

Best regards.

Lino.

I'm having the exact same issue and can't find an answer as yet. It's not a pairing issue, as this feature works in all other office apps except Outlook.

I fixed that issue at that time i.e. last April 27th but I don't recall how I did it. See if removing and then reinstalling the bluetooth software will do the trick.

Or else go back via System Restore to when it once was working.

I HAD the same problem

I had the same issue. Come to find out the bluetooth add-in is disabled. At least that was the resolution for my issue. Here is what to do. Goto Help | About Microsoft Outlook | Disabled Items... | highlight the bluetooth addin, then click enable. Close Outlook. Restart Outlook.

Same Problem... Add-in Not Disabled Though

I'm using the Kensington 2.0 BT Dongle with a Samsung A900 phone and a Dell 330 Workstation.

It worked... updated MS Office... it doesn't work.

No disabled add-in found.
